Dr. Angela Britt, DMD
Physiologic dentistry (NMD) is the practice of creating the optimal alignment for your bite by addressing painful symptoms related to the misalignment of jaw joints and related soft tissues.
Dr. Britt earned Fellowship status at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the leading facility for training in neuromuscular dentistry. She is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders such as TMJ (temporomandibular joint), a disorder of the jaw joints and the muscles and soft tissues that control them.
Physiologic disorders can be caused by physical trauma to the head, chronic teeth grinding or clenching, misalignment of teeth, and genetic factors. If you have symptoms of a misaligned jaw, Dr. Britt can create a customized neuromuscular dental treatment plan to help correct your alignment and alleviate symptoms such as jaw pain, headaches, neck and facial pain, shoulder pain, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), popping and clicking jaw joints, and more.
